Delhi Legislative Assembly, legislative arm of the Government of Delhi consists of 70 members, directly elected from 70 constituencies. The tenure of the Legislative Assembly is five years.

In the state Assembly elections, members are elected directly through voting. For a party to secure majority and establish government, they have to win 50 per cent plus one seat in the elections.
